The Coalition to Protect American Workers has been launched and is the only conservative group with the expressed purpose to tell the Biden-Harris administration one thing: No New Taxes.

The website, hyperlinked above, provides some good facts on just how costly this proposal would be for the American people.

Katie Miller, speaking on behalf of the group, said:

“At a time when our economy is recovering from a once in a lifetime pandemic where over nine million Americans remain jobless, the Biden Administration is out of the gate proposing job-killing taxes meant to enrich the government. While we all agree we need to fix our roads, bridges, and infrastructure – a $2 trillion tax will only stifle growth and cost hundreds of thousands Americans their jobs.”

Marc Short, former Director of Legislative Affairs for President Trump, took to the airwaves on CNBC and Fox Business. He explained how the Biden administration increasing the top corporate tax rate isn’t just a tax on corporations or the wealthy but a tax on every single American that will kill jobs.

And in today’s New York Times, Marc outlines the next steps the Coalition plans to take:

“When you are talking about tax hikes of this magnitude, I don’t see there being any Republican support on the Hill,” Marc Short, a longtime aide to former Vice President Mike Pence, said in an interview.

He said that “if the White House succeeds in enlisting any Republican support for the bill,” his group “would be messaging in those districts.”
