Doctor Eli Perencevich, who offered a dreadful prediction for the fall of 2021 for unvaccinated Iowa students younger than 12, is now claiming that a vaccine mandate is what we “need” in health care.
Perencevich took to Twitter on Monday to share a story about his mother, who recently had a bad fall and suffered three broken bones among other injuries. She is now in a rehab hospital.
“But we could all visit her,” he said. “Until – an unvaccinated staff person brought COVID into the rehab hospital. Now the hospital is on lockdown.
“We can no longer see my mother. She’s getting depressed and my dad is getting depressed. They just survived a year isolated in assisted living and now this. Lockdowns were necessary last year, but they’re avoidable now. We need vaccine mandates in health care.”
In addition, Perencevich said the tide is turning as more organizations and industries either mandate or strongly incentivize vaccination. He also said that “antivaxxers” are experiencing their “worst nightmare” right now.
“They’re losing even more credibility with each COVID infection and death,” he said. “It’s a long fight against antivax lies, but the tide is shifting.”
Perencevich has also called for Iowa parents to challenge the constitutionality of the state ban on mask mandates in schools.
