Florida Congresswoman and upcoming keynote speaker at the Story County GOP’s “Wendy Jensen Chili Supper” Kat Cammack called Republicans who voted against the radical “Respect for Marriage Act” “horribly racist.”

Cammack was one of 47 House Republicans who voted in support of the “Respect for Marriage Act,” which codifies homosexual marriage, repeals the Defense of Marriage Act, forces every state to recognize whatever another state calls marriage and threatens religious liberty for ministries across the country.

Cammack reportedly sent a message to an Instagram user who had criticized the Republicans who voted for the bill.

According to National Review, Cammack wrote:

“True conservatives don’t pick and choose which amendments they want to uphold. They are either all in or not. 14th Amendment is clear. If you support the Second Amendment and reciprocity of your Second Amendment rights, you would need to be consistent in supporting your 14th Amendment rights. Also, this doesn’t change the biblical definiton of marriage, it changes the legal one for tax, insurance, estate and custodial purposes.

“Finally, I think it is horribly racist to say that interracial couples cannot marry, which is exactly what people who voted against this bill did.”

It is a startling comment from Cammack as 157 of her House GOP colleagues voted against the bill. Cammack continued down that road.

Congressman Chip Roy noted that interracial marriage is already protected. Instead, he suggested his colleagues are hiding behind superfluous language to advance a court-manufactured definition of marriage for homosexual couples.

Congressman Byron Donalds voted against the bill, and he himself is in an interracial marriage.

Story County is represented by Congressman Randy Feenstra, who was one of the 157 GOP House members to vote against the bill. Meaning he is one of the 157 GOP House members who Cammack labeled as “horribly racist” for his vote against the “Respect for Marriage Act.”
