(Today), President Trump’s USMCA trade deal will go into effect, creating up to 600,000 new jobs while adding $235 billion to the United States GDP. This trade deal comes after President Trump promised to renegotiate NAFTA, a disastrous deal that Joe Biden supported.

By fulfilling his 2016 campaign promise to renegotiate a new trade agreement, President Trump’s USMCA is projected to help major American industries, including adding $226.8 million in total dairy output and $683 million in annual investment for the automotive and manufacturing industry.

Instead of supporting this clear win for our country in September of 2018, Democrats blocked it, hurting our industries and our economy for more than a year.

Bottom Line: Once again, President Trump is delivering results and fulfilling the promises he made in 2016. The new USMCA trade agreement is a tremendous victory for farmers and workers in the Hawkeye State and across the country.
