It is a video that was sent to me sometime on Friday. I watched it and thought there was no way it could be real.

Then I watched it again. And again.

Then I did some Google searching.

According to multiple media outlets, the Biden campaign issued a response to the video:

“Vice President Biden was jokingly encouraging the audience to clap for an airwoman on the stage, and a number of service members can be seen laughing and smiling at the comment. Seconds before, he praised them for ‘the incredible sacrifices [they] make for our country.”

So, I guess he said it.

Take a look:

“I have incredibly good judgment. One, I married Jill, and two, I appointed Johnson to the academy, I just want you to know that. So clap for that you stupid bastards,” Biden says.

Now, was it in jest? Was it a joke? Was it sarcasm?

Who knows?

Regardless, if President Donald J. Trump were on video saying the exact same thing with the exact same tone, what would media reaction look like?

I have also searched for news articles about the clip from NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC on Google. While my Google abilities may not be the best, I have come up empty.

How can this happen just weeks after the media had a field day with comments from an “anonymous” source who said President Trump disparaged U.S. military members?

Perhaps the most dangerous election interference isn’t from the Russians or the Chinese. Perhaps it is from the American media.
