Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate launched a new webpage Tuesday to counter election misinformation and disinformation. The Election Security in Iowa page includes a Myth vs. Fact section, a detailed breakdown of the many security measures Iowa has put in place to protect elections, and a five-minute video that details how ballots and election equipment is maintained.

The launch of the webpage coincides with Iowa’s June primary election.

“I want Iowans to know we are protecting their vote and we’re transparent about how it is done,” Secretary Pate said. “Paper ballots, Voter ID, pre-election and post-election audits, and a slew of cybersecurity protections and monitoring systems help us protect your vote. There is zero evidence of any unauthorized intrusions into Iowa’s elections systems, and we are committed to keeping it that way.”

The Election Security in Iowa page is available on the Secretary of State’s website, sos.iowa.gov.

  1. Did Pate share the facts about Dominion insecurity flaws that CISA copped to last Friday? Nope. But he did borrow CISA’s disinformation talking point.

I wonder if he looked into whether or not there are any Mules operating in Iowa? No matter, TTV are looking into Red States, including Iowa. And not just Mules but communications.

  2. So SOS Pate says: “There is zero evidence of any unauthorized intrusions into Iowa’s elections systems”. He chose his words carefully and not to be transparent. If he is not checking code with a hacks inspiration and when for others to do so takes lawsuits and FOIA requests and for which the time to do so might allow for cover-ups and especially mootness — then it is a toss off line. He used the word “systems” which the investigators are still looking into (whether or not Dominion is what was used here – see AJ Foster comment herein). But systems might also mean systems of laxity might be inherent. There is plenty of evidence of the possibilities for fraud in vote by mail. I have long maintained that vote by mail invites onesy-twosy family based fraud and similar enterprises. I suggest it can amount to thousands in a statewide general election. And while Republicans no doubt do engage to some extent, by and large cheating is a Democrat enterprise, small and big. Always has been. The end justifies the means. Vote for grandma, it is what she would want . . . Daley’s Illinois . . .Johnson’s Texas . . . it is always for the good of the country. It is all ballot box stuffing, just different scales.

And nothing makes it easier for “systems” of fraud than “vote early by mail”. You get a lot of time to stuff the box, onesy twosy, or organize some mules, as was done at least in other states as is now well established by video and other evidence thanks to True the Vote , DeSouza et al.. The systemic fraud has been revealed dead to rights — other than to the deniers, the obtuse, and the regular order ostriches like much of Iowa’s political elite. And nobody has pushed vote by mail more than Iowa’s Pate has over the years although of late he has cooled to the idea that voting early anyway is a good practice as a matter of good government.

But what about the “authorized intrusions” that Pate encouraged — The Zuckerberg money used to run Democrat GOTV efforts under color of official offices.

To be sure the Democrat Miller would work to find loopholes in voter integrity rules that Pate supports, so voting against Pate in the general is not smart.
