From the Trump campaign:

Nikki Haley is struggling. Haley was unable to say that the Civil War was about slavery and thinksDubuque is in New Hampshire.

In fact, Haley is now claiming that the Civil War question was a “plant.” The issue is her response, not the question.

Haley is clearly not ready for primetime.

Rep. Byron Donalds: “1. Psst Nikki… the answer is slavery PERIOD. 2. This really doesn’t matter because Trump is going to be the nominee. Trump 2024!”

CNN contributor Scott Jennings: “In New Hampshire, there’s a semi-open primary, so she’s hoping a lot of independent voters come in and vote for her. My guess is, this is not what they want to hear from her.”
