U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, today issued a statement after the March 2023 Consumer Price Index (CPI) revealed inflation has risen 15.4% since President Joe Biden took office. Inflation has remained above 5% for 23 consecutive months.

“The President’s anti-American energy, anti-growth, and pro-spending agenda has caused inflation to soar. American families are left footing the bill. Americans are forced to make tough choices as they juggle sky-high grocery, gas, and energy bills. For people across Wyoming, the American dream feels further and further out of reach. Senate Republicans are working to lower costs for all Americans. This means stopping reckless spending, cutting red tape, and unleashing American energy.”
