Gas prices are set to hit record highs and Joe Biden already has his new excuse lined up:
Forget record inflation that sent gas prices soaring. Forget the fact that the Biden Administration has been openly hostile to the oil and gas industry since they arrived in office. Now, the gas price increase is 100% Putin’s fault according to Biden and Senate Democrats. How convenient.
Vulnerable Senate Democrats like Maggie Hassan, Raphael Warnock, Mark Kelly, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Michael Bennet share in the blame for this failed policy.
Now, the President is getting the cold shoulder from our Middle Eastern allies, and engaging with our enemies to fill the need for energy.
Today, the Wall Street Journal published a scathing editorial, ripping President Biden’s assault on the American oil and gas industry, dubbed “Biden’s U.S. Oil Embargo,” a crucial reason we are not 100% energy independent. Their summary of the current situation is on-point: “Mr. Biden bemoans today’s skyrocketing gas prices, yet he remains hostage to the green-energy donors whose policies guarantee higher prices. The President is enabling Vladimir Putin’s energy leverage even as he claims the opposite.”
In the face of overwhelming evidence that the administration must completely reverse course and aggressively expand oil and gas development and pause/rescind all regulations designed to curb consumption and production, they are sadly doing the opposite.
Just yesterday, the White House Economic Advisor said the only way to energy independence is to fully eliminate fossil fuels!
Clearly, some people aren’t paying attention…
