Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo is this week’s Comrade of the Week for being the fourth Biden administration official to trek to China and come back with nothing but agreements to hold more meetings and praise for the genocidal regime.
Raimondo could have demanded that China stop killing Americans with fentanyl. She could have told Xi Jinping America won’t allow China to spy on our citizens.
Instead, Raimondo papered over China’s egregious crimes with praise for its leaders: “They were gracious, they were open. They said that China wants to embrace American business!” She also applauded Joe Biden’s soft-on-China policy: “President Biden has done a magnificent job through his career of developing a GREAT relationship — a productive relationship — with President Xi!”
This is the fourth trip to China, and each visit gives Beijing a public relations victory and a growing list of concessions. How many more trips until Biden realizes Xi Jinping is walking all over him? At least one more. President Biden is expected to meet with Xi Jinping in November, and we’re sure Xi is counting down the days.
