Sen. Bernie Sanders, one of the many Democrat candidates running for President, rushed to the defense of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar on Monday night. Rep. Omar has been one of the subjects of President Donald Trump’s ire the past few days.

Sanders tweeted out a message of unity on Monday night.

“Trump knows that when we stand together…we have the power to defeat him. So the demagogue is doing what he knows best: Divide and conquer through hate.”

Clearly Sen. Sanders is inferring bad guys divide and conquer. But what does Sen. Sanders routinely say about the wealthiest Americans?

“The reason that people do not perceive that we are living in the wealthiest country in the history of the world is that almost all of the wealth and much of the income is going to the top one percent. And our job together is to change that reality…”

“There is something profoundly wrong in our country when the top one-tenth of one percent owns almost as much wealth as the bottom 90 percent. That is immoral. That is wrong…”

Gee, seems sort of divisive.
