Do not presume ‘red wave’ is inevitable, we must VOTE

When I grew up in the 1950s and 60s, American TV and radio network news departments, local stations, and newspapers were staffed with reporters who relentlessly searched for truth and the “big scoop.” They passionately pursued their craft as protected by the first amendment to our Constitution.

Then in the 90s, a massive and destructive, government-endorsed merger of media ownership created a new monster – the media conglomerate. Cities once covered by two or more independently owned newspapers and radio/TV stations were suddenly controlled by a few mega-companies whose political philosophy was overwhelmingly liberal Democrats.

The arrival of the Internet soon gave us the seductive, narcissistic “free” sites Facebook and Twitter. Free speech which was once the street corner soapbox and Letters to the Editor, became an outlet that allowed any individual to preach to the world. Unfortunately, the majority of these platforms of “free speech” are also controlled by liberal billionaires.

American media is now controlled by a corrupt News Cartel – companies that should be competitive but instead act together. This control of vital information creates a huge political divide that is rapidly corrupting every aspect of American life. The cartel gave us a cognitively challenged and criminally corrupt President, an incompetent Vice-President, the shutdown of a robust, and booming economy, several years of lost education for millions of children, record-shattering inflation and the potential of another world war.

The news cartel keeps much of the nation oblivious to the invasion of our southern border and fails to hold our government responsible as the government in cooperation with blind sited social service agencies transport these non-citizens to cities throughout the USA. Your tax dollars provide them with cellphones, debit cards, housing and free health care.

We watch in disbelief as the media cartel ignores the two-tiered justice system and the well- documented corruption of the FBI, CIA, Clinton family, Biden family, Pelosi, Schiff, BLM and yes, many Republican officials too, while a sham impeachment and a constant flow of false charges are hurled at the Trump family. So-called January 6th “insurrectionists” are jailed in solitary confinement without bail.

“Fact-checkers” employed by the cartels to control free speech gives us:

• Time in “Facebook Jail” followed by shadow-banning of your future posts
• Letters to the editor censored or not printed
• State the absolute truth that there are just two sexes and you are branded a sexist.
• Challenge power and you are silenced.

  What will it take to return our nation to once again be “the land of the free and the home of the brave?” A red wave of Republican voters this November 8th could spur action that punishes the long list of guilty who continue to benefit with millions of corrupt dollars collected during their decades of “public service.”

  We MUST NOT presume the red wave is inevitable. Every individual frustrated by our deteriorating society and the corruption that is overwhelming us must VOTE and encourage everyone you know to do the same. Make your preferred pronoun AMERICAN.
