U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) today commended Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW), Senator Shelley Moore-Capito (R-W.V), for her work on the “Republican Roadmap” infrastructure bill—which is modeled after the bipartisan bill Ernst helped pass out of the EPW committee unanimously last year. Ernst said that she hoped Democrats will join her Republican colleagues to negotiate a package that targets true infrastructure needs, not progressive wish list items like President Biden’s plan.
Ernst also stated that she looked forward to hearing Senator Tim Scott deliver the Republican response to President Biden’s joint address to Congress.
