On Monday, Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN he plans to retire by the end of President Joe Biden’s current term in the White House. Fauci serves as Biden’s chief medical adviser and has served as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for decades.
While he said he will “very likely” retire by the time Biden’s first term ends, he didn’t offer any dates.
According to Politico, Fauci said he doesn’t expect to stay in government until coronavirus is eradicated because he believes we will live with it for years.
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert reacted on Twitter:
“Fauci thinks he’s just going to retire and move on with his life. Not on my watch. He belongs in jail.”
