Sebastian Groka cautioned conservatives against settling or celebrating at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest 2024. While Gorka expressed optimism, he also warned the Left has no interest in just surrendering.
Gorka opened with good news, noting that President Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of America in a month. But he pivoted to the bad news after that, showing the clip of the assassination attempt from Butler, PA.
That video is a reminder of what we face moving forward. Gorka said the image of President Donald J. Trump raising his fist after the assassination attempt shouldn’t have been possible. The detail charged with protecting Trump should have been positioned to catch the bullets of a second shooter, but they weren’t.
“Why,” Gorka asked. “Because President Trump was a lion. He took control. That is a lion and that is the American way.”
Over the last four years, establishment politicians and the “lunatic Left” have betrayed America.
“We should delete the letter R behind your name or the letter D behind Democrats,” Gorka said. “Why? Because the only thing that matters, the only thing that divides us today is whether you love America or hate it. (Trump) will die for America he loves it so much.”
While there were a handful of moments that people may reflect on and say that was the moment Trump won the election, Gorka said the moment Trump worked at McDonald’s and had an interaction with a couple in the drive-thru was the moment he knew Trump would win the election.
Trump went to the take-out window and handed the husband the bag. He had a brief back-and-forth before the man’s wife in the car thanked Trump for taking a bullet for “us.”
“The next moment is for me when it was in the bag,” Gorka said. “What did the President do? It’s not scripted. It’s not on cue cards. It’s not on teleprompter. It’s real. It’s from the gut. He pauses, and he goes, ‘Well, yeah, I guess I took a bullet for you.’ Wow. That’s when he won it.”
While only days remain before Trump returns to the White House, Gorka warned against taking anything for granted.
“Just because on Jan. 20 at 12:01 we’re going to walk into the White House and take control doesn’t mean that the Left has surrendered,” Gorka said.
The Left is plotting right now, he said, to target Americans.
“Think about it, we have people in prison right now who are there because they prayed inside the Capitol on Jan. 6,” Gorka said. “Prayed. I am a child of a political prisoner who escaped in the revolution of 1956. I never thought we’d have political prisoners in America. We do, and they must be freed. So, redouble your efforts. Get ready to politically fight, fight, fight. Because we don’t have four years, we have two years until the election.”
Without America, Gorka warned Judeo-Christian civilization would be gone.
“They hate our civilization and we must save it,” he said. “It’s that simple.”
