Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) will attend President Joe Biden’s Joint Address to Congress on Wednesday and released the following statement.

“I will be attending President Biden’s Joint Address to Congress on Wednesday. I hope he will lay out actionable solutions to the many challenges facing Iowa families, farmers, and small businesses right now.

“First and foremost, the President has to acknowledge the crisis at our Southern Border and explain his plan to secure it to keep Iowa families safe. He also must commit to reining in wasteful spending on policies Iowans don’t want, and prioritizing the needs of our rural communities through real, physical infrastructure investment.

“The President should reverse course on the partisanship that has defined his first 100 days in office and chart a new path forward. I appreciate the opportunity to attend and look forward to hearing what he has to say.” –Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
