On Thursday, the House passed two amendments offered by Congresswoman Lauren Boebert to the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Bill. These amendments aim to tackle the fentanyl crisis and hold rogue Biden bureaucrats responsible for their actions.
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (CO-03) said, “Joe Biden and his radical DHS Secretary Mayorkas have allowed the border crisis to spiral out of control. Every day, thousands of Americans are dying from fentanyl that is coming over our border. Instead of making our borders more secure, Biden appointed radical leftists who want open borders and to abolish ICE. How many people have to die for this administration to take the Biden Border Crisis seriously? I will not sit around and wait for that question to be answered. The time to act on this crisis is now. We must stop the record influx of fentanyl, and rid DHS of radical globalists seeking to abolish our borders.”
Boebert’s first amendment redirects funds from DHS bureaucracy to fund CBP fentanyl detection at border patrol checkpoints. The second amendment utilizes the Holman Rule to decrease the salary of Ur M. Jaddou, Director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to $1.
Jaddou is a “radical leftist,” according to Boebert’s release and worked for an open borders group called DHS Watch prior to joining the Biden Administration.
While at DHS Watch, Jaddou called for an end to Border Patrol funding and referred to CBP as President Trump’s “personal militia.” Jaddou called for the mass release of illegal immigrants.
