We are continuing our look at the Republican Party of Iowa’s Platform. Too often elected representatives forget or ignore the importance of this document.
Many Iowans may not even know what is in this platform, though. So we hope you take the time to read this series every day and perhaps even gain a new appreciation for the principles that make the Republican Party a party worth supporting.

“Fiscal responsibility is a fundamental function of any local, state or federal entity. It is a fundamental expectation that government entities act in a financially responsible manner; it follows that limiting the size and scope of government is a necessary component of achieving this end.”
