Elizabeth Alexander, the First Lady’s Communications Director, announced on Tuesday morning that First Lady Jill Biden has tested for COVID.

Alexander said Biden tested negative on Monday, but began developing cold-like symptoms in the evening. A rapid antigen test returned negative, but a PCR test came back positive.

“The First Lady is double-vaccinated, twice boosted and only experiencing mild symptoms,” Alexander said. “She has been prescribed a course of Paxlovid and, following CDC guidance, will isolate from others for at least five days.”

President Joe Biden tested negative for COVID this morning on an antigen test.
