The shocking collapse of Afghanistan’s government and the supremely embarrassing evacuation by the United States cannot be viewed in isolation.

America’s enemies the world over rejoiced at the Biden Administration’s ineptness and the Taliban’s swift endgame and defeat of “the Great Satan.”

The danger facing Afghanistan’s women in particular and anyone who assisted the United States cannot be overemphasized.

China, which has been cracking down on Hong Kong and committing genocide against the Uyghur community, responded immediately. It launched provocative military maneuvers near Taiwan and issued statements taunting Taiwan’s free-market government for depending on the United States.

Meanwhile, the media seem more interested in framing Christians, “white nationalists,” Trump supporters and COVID narrative skeptics as potential sources of domestic terrorism.

What’s in store for our immediate future, and how do we strengthen the things that matter most to our country?

Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin was one of the original members of the U.S. Army’s Delta Force and directed these elite warriors in combat operations.

Gen. Boykin commanded all of the Army’s Green Berets as well as the Special Warfare Center and School.

On Oct. 11, 2019, STAND presented Gen. Boykin with the George Washington Award for Taking a STAND, at a gala dinner in Alexandria, Virginia celebrating STAND’s 10th anniversary.

In all, he spent 36 years in the U.S. Army.  He also served for four years as the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence.  After leaving the service, he became an ordained minister with a passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encouraging Christians to become warriors in God’s Kingdom.

As one of the members of Team B, which compiled the report “Shariah: The Threat to America” for the Center for Security Policy” (that’s our friend Frank Gaffney’s outfit, and was also home to another good friend and co-combatant, Clare Lopez) Gen. Boykin has been outspoken in warning about the threat posed by Islamic militancy here and abroad.

And it has cost him.  He has had to cancel speaking engagements – even a National Prayer breakfast at West Point – after leftist groups complained.

Jerry and his wife Ashley have five children and a growing number of grandchildren, which is only appropriate given that he’s now serving as an official defender of the family – as Family Research Council’s Executive Vice President.

Please join us for this stimulating and informative conversation.
