The United Nations defines Climate Change in this way: Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns.” If you would just stop there, how could you possibly question that? When the so-called experts begin to describe the alleged causes for these “long-term shifts” is when we begin to see the religious aspects of Climate Change.

Although they recognize that some “climate change” is natural, the main focus is human beings. Human activity is the culprit. The UN statement continues: “…since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change.”

If these so-called experts were honest, they would have to admit that the only records they have of “climate change” have been since the 1800s. There really aren’t any accurate climate records before this.

They begin to sink their basic arguments when they make statements like the following: The average temperature of the Earth’s surface is now about 1.1°C warmer than it was in the late 1800s (before the industrial revolution) and warmer than at any time in the last 100,000 years.”

Two observations are necessary here. The Industrial Revolution began in the mid-18th Century, and we had pretty much transitioned from an agricultural to an industrial economy by the mid-1800s. Industrialization may have contributed to an increase in the use of fossil fuels but the existence of accurate climate records before the late 1800s simply do not exist.

Secondly, is there anyone anywhere who knows what the temperatures were on planet Earth 100,000 years ago? Are you kidding me? Many Bible believing Christians don’t believe that the earth even existed 100,000 years ago!

When “scientists” make such ludicrous statements, it throws their entire argument straight out the window. Science is based on observation. We don’t really know how warm the earth was 1,000 years ago, let alone 100,000 years! So, to lay the blame for increasing temperatures over the past 100-150 years to “human activities” is highly questionable.

How many warnings of “Climate Change Apocalypse” have we heard over the last 60 years?  It is almost impossible to find a catalogue of all the warnings we have received over the past decades of impending disaster, but thanks to the New York Post, we can look back and see the “scientific” end of the world prophecies over the last fifty years. In a November 2021 article, the Post Editorial Board takes us on an excursion recounting “50 years of predictions that the climate apocalypse is nigh.”
