Likely U.S. voters are not impressed by President Joe Biden’s handling of the Russian aggression towards Ukraine. Forty-nine percent gave Biden a poor rating for his handling of the conflict, while just 31 percent rated his handling of the situation as excellent or good.

Among the 59 percent of voters who said they have very closely followed the events, 54 percent rate Biden as poor for his handling of the situation.

Fifty-three percent of voters told Rasmussen Reports that defending the American border against illegal immigration is more important to America’s national interest than defending Ukraine against Russia. Just 36 percent said defending Ukraine is more important.

Fifty-one percent of those surveyed said Biden’s handling of national security issues overall is poor.

While 53 percent of Democrats say Biden’s handling of the Russia-Ukraine conflict is excellent or good, just 16 percent of Republicans and 23 percent of unaffiliated voters agree.

Seventy-three percent of Republicans, 53 percent of unaffiliated voters and 22 percent of Democrats rate Biden’s handling of the crisis as poor.
