MidAmerican Energy was listed as a “Rainbow Sponsor” for Capital City Pride. The event took place this past weekend in Des Moines and included Drag Queen Story Hour, a Youth Drag Show and a parade.

The Iowa Standard reached out to MidAmerican Energy asking if the company supports youth drag shows and drag queen story hour events. Here was the company’s response:
