MidAmerican Energy was listed as a “Rainbow Sponsor” for Capital City Pride. The event took place this past weekend in Des Moines and included Drag Queen Story Hour, a Youth Drag Show and a parade.

The Iowa Standard reached out to MidAmerican Energy asking if the company supports youth drag shows and drag queen story hour events. Here was the company’s response:

We extend that support and perspective to all the communities and customers we serve by partnering with organizations that reflect our commitment such as the 2022 Pride Fest and Capital City Pride.
