House Democrats are caving to progressives and dropping their plan to pass a police funding bill this week.

House progressives argue a bill that increases funding for local law enforcement will “alienate and anger” their socialist base ahead of the November elections, according to the Washington Post.

Democrats already passed one bill this Congress, which according to the Congressional Budget Office, “would cost local departments hundreds of millions to comply with.”

NRCC COMMENT: “Democrats continue to prove they are the party of defunding the police.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Torunn Sinclair
