Planned Parenthood president Alexis McGill Johnson told The Washington Post earlier this week that she believes abortion is health care. And, she added, it is fine if people think of abortion first when thinking of Planned Parenthood.
It is a slightly different tone from the organization. Johnson said that saying abortion is a “small part” of what Planned Parenthood does is “actually stigmatizing it.”
“We are a proud abortion provider,” she said. “We believe that abortion is health care, and we believe, fundamentally, that self-determination begins with being able to control your own body and freedom begins with being able to control your own body. So I don’t like to marginalize it in that way.”
On one hand, you have to appreciate her honesty.
On the other, you have to shudder at her defense of the barbaric practice of killing unborn children.
Here is hoping that Johnson continues to be unashamed in her support of abortion, as well as Planned Parenthood’s.
Abortion should be the first thing that comes to someone’s mind when they hear Planned Parenthood.
Because no amount of good can cover up the evil taking place within the organization’s four walls. Nothing can make up for the innocent blood shed through decades of a commitment to killing unborn babies in the name of choice.
