Congressman Bob Good (VA-05) introduced the Close Biden’s Open Border Act which would freeze funding designated for the United Nations (U.N.) for two years and redirect the money towards completion of the wall on our Southern border. This commonsense solution responds to the previously revealed efforts by the U.N. to effectively increase the flow of migrants by “teaching” them how to seek asylum and avoid deportation.

“Yesterday, President Joe Biden finally visited the southern border for the first time after spending the first two years of his presidency ignoring the border invasion. I have been to the border five times since taking office in 2021, and I have seen firsthand the crisis at the border caused by President Biden’s open-border policies,” said Rep. Good (VA-05)

“When Joe Biden took office, he reversed effective Trump-initiated border policies including wall construction. Yesterday, we saw President Biden pictured in front of the wall. And if he talked to Border Patrol agents as I have, they told him that ‘walls work’ just as they have told me,“ said Good.

“President Biden also promised amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, and his catch, process, and release policies have allowed over 5.5 million illegal aliens to enter this country, that we know of, since he took office. It is time to put Americans first and ensure that taxpayer money is prioritized toward keeping Americans safe. This legislation would ensure we finish the construction on the Border Wall, and do so with a surplus, while saving American taxpayers money in the process,” Good continued.

“Reports have made it clear that the United Nations is actively assisting and encouraging the surge of illegal aliens at the U.S. border. If the U.N. insists on using its funds to destabilize the integrity of our borders, it’s only reasonable that we use our share of U.N. contributions for our own border security. We thank Congressman Good for his continued commitment to securing our border and ending illegal immigration by reintroducing the Close Biden’s Open Border Act,” said Rosemary Jenks, Director of Government Relations, NumbersUSA

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, multiple U.N. funded non-profits have coached illegal aliens on how to “recover repressed memories” to ensure that they clear initial asylum screening. Currently, the U.S. contributes roughly $11 billion taxpayer dollars annually to the U.N.
