Twelve-time All-American swimmer Riley Gaines will speak tonight in Ames at Iowa State University as part of her “Reclaim Feminism Campus Tour.” The event is open to the public.

Gaines is hoping to encourage college students to speak up for the fundamental right to free speech, for truth and for women. Gaines is scheduled to speak at 6:30 p.m.

Women are being stripped of opportunities to fairly compete in sports, denied scholarships, put in physical danger and exposed to humiliation in locker rooms. People who oppose the movement to allow men to compete in women’s sports are being silenced, threatened and physically assaulted.

“No girl or woman should have to endure the utter disregard and humiliation that my fellow swimmers and I did,” Gaines said.

In August of 2023, Gaines launched the Riley Gaines Center at the Leadership Institute to fight the push to erase women and destroy women’s sports.
