“Kirsten Gillibrand plans to pitch her policy plan that will look to protect children of all ages, but there is one caveat Iowa caucusgoers should know about – her plan only extends to children well outside of the womb. But Iowans won’t be surprised as Gillibrand touts her decisions to block the born-alive bill and support taxpayer-funded abortions. ”  — RNC Spokesperson Preya Samsundar

 Background:

  • In February, Kirsten Gillibrand joined Senate Democrats in voting against the Born-Alive Bill – a measure that would require medical attention be given to all infants born alive during an abortion procedure.
  • Kirsten Gillibrand plans to heavily tout her latest policy proposal, the “Family Bill of Rights.” According to CBS News, the plan is aimed to “make raising children safer and more affordable.”
  • During an interview with MSNBC at the DC protest against pro-life bills, Gillibrand said, “voters that do not want tax dollars paying for abortion do not have ‘a valid argument.’” Watch the RNC Research video here.
