As Joe Biden and the Democrats’ poll numbers continue tanking, Cindy Axne has some advice to impart on Ole’ Joe.

Axne’s advice? Go out and talk to people. Unfortunately, talking to people in general hasn’t really been Biden’s forte since he assumed the presidency, but Axne nonetheless suggests that Biden should “come out and say, ‘folks, here’s where we’re at.’”

It’s laughably bad advice for a lot of reasons. For one, Iowans don’t really need a visit from Biden to know where we’re at: struggling with 40-year record inflation, supply chain woes, worker shortages, and an inept (and hypocritical) approach to COVID. Biden trying firsthand to sell Iowans on his signature “ Build Back Broke” legislation – which would give hundreds of billions in tax cuts to coastal millionaires – probably isn’t going to help his standing, either.

The real question is why Axne is giving advice when she has drawn plenty of fire on herself. Not only did she fail to disclose up to $645,000 in stock trades, Axne also defended the insider trading practices of members of Congress. Axne’s political fortunes are so much in jeopardy that a Nancy Pelosi-aligned PAC is pushing a seven-figure ad blitz in a desperate attempt to prop her up. Even Democrat strategists are admitting that Axne “might be doomed ” anyway.

Maybe Axne’s suggestion is just part of her warmup to finally get Biden to accept her invitation to come out and campaign with her in Iowa. With Biden’s over 60 percent disapproval rating among Iowans, it’s just another reason to write off her political acumen and wisdom as bollocks.

Bottom Line: Cindy Axne giving advice to Joe Biden? It’s the blind leading the blind
