Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing “very mild symptoms,” according to reports.

Schumer’s spokesman, Justin Goodman, said Schumer received a positive test result as part of his “regular testing regimen.”

In addition, Democrat Sen. Richard Blumenthal also announced a positive test for COVID.

“I’m not experiencing symptoms and am thankful to be fully vaccinated and boosted,” he said. “If you haven’t gotten your shot or booster yet, make an appointment today.”

Schumer is fully vaccinated and twice boosted. The statement provided by his spokesman said that Schumer “greatly appreciates the protection the vaccine has provided him.”
