Last August I announced my opposition to any and all so-called “Red-Flag” laws. Now, liberal Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg has convinced like-minded Democrats here in Iowa to file legislation that is nothing more than a dangerous gun control scheme that would leave law-abiding Iowans defenseless. It doesn’t end there… billionaire Bloomberg has purchased $250,000 worth of ads to attack legislators who are standing up for Iowan’s 2nd amendment rights!
The idea of being innocent until proven guilty is revered in American jurisprudence. This proposed legislation would declare a gun owner guilty, and force him or her to come back before a court and prove their innocence at a later time. It is shocking, that an individual who is running for the high office of President of the United States could have so little regard for the oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
I will fight to ensure that this legislation as well as any other legislation that weakens our 2nd amendment rights, never sees the light of day! Do you agree, should New York gun-grabbers keep their agenda out of our state?
