U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today released the following statement regarding President Biden’s suggested immigration policy reforms:

“The harsh reality is that the President is two years too late in offering a response to the chaos at our southern border,” Wicker said. “The reforms he has offered will neither reverse the entry of millions of illegal aliens into our country on his watch, nor eliminate the millions of pounds of lethal fentanyl that have already devastated our communities. If the President had bothered to take this crisis seriously from the beginning, he would know that.”

“A real response to this crisis would focus first on physically securing our border and ensuring the United States sends a clear message that we will not tolerate blatant violations of our laws.”
