Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas), along with 17 of his colleagues, today introduced a resolution condemning the slogan, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.” The resolution also states that the slogan and its derivations are a call for the genocide of Jewish people and the destruction of the Jewish state.

Co-sponsoring the resolution are Senators Bill Hagerty (R-Tennessee), John Barrasso (R-Wyoming), Katie Britt (R-Alabama), Rick Scott (R-Florida), Pete Ricketts (R-Nebraska), Marco Rubio (R-Florida), John Kennedy (R-Louisiana), John Boozman (R-Arkansas), Ted Budd (R-North Carolina), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota), John Thune (R-South Dakota), Deb Fischer (R-Nebraska), Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama), and James Lankford (R-Oklahoma).

“People who invoke this disgraceful, antisemitic slogan are calling for the mass murder of Jews, whether they know it or not. On October 7, the world saw the genocidal intent of the phrase, ‘From the River to the Sea.’ No one who uses this phrase should escape condemnation,” said Senator Cotton.

Text of the resolution may be found here.
