State Rep. Shannon Lundgren shared a post about the wrong dose of the COVID vaccine being given to more than 100 children in Urbandale. Lundgren said if the dosage was approved for one amount and a different dosage was administered, someone needs to be held accountable.

“If the FDA approved a dose for children from under age 12 through five years old, then the science must have shown the dose was appropriate,” she said. “The response by MercyOne says that the children will be fine with the exception of maybe more severe side effects, which leads me to believe we need to question the science.

“Will health care providers receive immunity against liability down the road in this instance because it was COVID related? I have a lot of questions and in the best interest of public health and safety, they need to be answered.”
