Christians need to understand where God stands on homosexuality. The Bible is the user’s manual given to us by God. He tells us the way to live peacefully and successfully.

Sex has been created by God to be between a man and a woman that are married, to each other, in a loving relationship. Anything outside of that is sexual immorality- even if it is in your mind! Yes, our minds are the fields where we sow seeds that grow into weeds. I highly doubt there is one person reading these words that has not been sexually immoral in the sight of God.

People claim that it was God that “made them this way”. Actually, we are all born this way. As children our impulses to lie, bully, cheat and steal are usually curbed by our loving parents because it is still widely accepted that these things are wrong. When we have un-Godly sexual desires, they also need to be curbed, not encouraged or celebrated.

A few of the Bible verses that talk about homosexuality/sexual immorality are Genesis 19:1-11, Romans 1:26-27, II Corinthians 12:21, I Timothy 1:8-10, Ephesians 5:3, Galatians 5:19, Hebrews 13:4, I Corinthians 6:18, Matthew 5:28.

I Corinthians 6:9-11 is very clear when it says, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Many people want to claim their own truth in this day and age. They say what is true for one person may not be true for someone else. There is only one Truth. It is not my truth or your truth it is God’s Truth because He is the only One that has the right and knowledge and authority to establish Truth.

You can disagree. God has given you that right. You can pretend that you can somehow ignore God or hide from Him but eventually this human experiment will be over and you will stand before your Creator. At that time there will be His Holy judgment and there will be His Holy wrath. Today He is extending His generous, loving mercy to all those that desire to be His children. Take His hand. As you follow Him with all your heart He will make you clean and holy with a peace that passes understanding.
