President Donald J. Trump passed the blame for Republicans failing to “live up” to expectations in 2022. He went 233-20, he said in a post on Truth Social. Instead it was the abortion issue, which he said was handled poorly by many in the GOP.
“Especially those that firmly insisted on no exceptions, even in the case of rape, incest or life of the mother,” Trump wrote. “That lost large numbers of voters.”
Trump added that the people who pushed hard for decades against abortion “got their wish” from the Supreme Court and then “just plain disappeared.”
