On Wednesday, President Donald J. Trump announced “Catholics for Trump”, a coalition committed to safeguarding the vital principles of religious liberty and defending family values that President Donald J. Trump has ardently championed. Under President Trump’s leadership, our nation witnessed unprecedented support for religious freedom, with significant victories both domestically and globally. President Trump restored protections for faith-based organizations and bolstered the rights of religious institutions against governmental overreach.

Unlike the Harris-Biden administration, which has systematically undermined these fundamental rights, President Trump has stood unwaveringly in defense of the foundational principles of Catholicism. President Trump knows the significance of ensuring religious freedom for all, and unlike Kamala Harris, he also knows the true power of faith and will never take away our God-given rights. This coalition presents an incredible opportunity to display to our nation, under God, what Catholics believe in and the morals we uphold.

Catholics for Trump stands with President Trump in his mission to continue building a nation where the rights of every individual to practice their faith freely is protected. Together, we can secure a future that honors the principles of freedom, faith, and life that are integral to our American heritage, and we will protect the right to engage in the divine Truth of the Lord and hold steadfast His unconditional love that guides us daily.

“In our lifetime, no president has done more to advance and defend religious freedom than President Donald J. Trump.  America needs President Trump back in the White House to protect and preserve our God-given right to worship freely at home and abroad.” – Callista L. Gingrich, Former U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See

“Now is the time for Catholics to coalesce and acknowledge that President Donald Trump is the only candidate that will help uphold and promote our moral principles and foundational beliefs. Catholics and all Americans need a strong leader in the White House now more than ever and that leader is Donald J Trump.” – George Glass, Former U.S. Ambassador to Portugal

“Like all Catholics who follow the teachings of the church, it guides every decision I make. There has never been a time when those values and the freedom to practice them have been in greater peril. With such high stakes, we are blessed to have the easiest decision in modern history as to which candidate for president has a record in public office more consistent with those teachings.  That’s why I will vote for and support Donald Trump and encourage my fellow Catholics to likewise.” – Former Senator Rick Santorum

“President Trump’s record in office is more closely aligned with Catholic principles than that of any other president or major party nominee in my lifetime. In 2024, he is running against the most radically anti-Catholic presidential candidate in my lifetime. This is not a difficult decision.” – Michael Knowles, Commentator and Author

“Kamala Harris hates Catholics and everything we hold sacred.  We can’t pretend otherwise. Our institutions, families, culture and belief in the sanctity of all human life are the antithesis of her vision for America. Donald Trump and J.D Vance — and now RFK — are the antidote to the ruling class that has destroyed our country.” – Brian Burch, President, CatholicVote

“President Trump will continue to defend our religious freedoms, and our values enshrined in faith and family. His leadership is needed more now than ever before because he understands that American families are the pillars of a strong society.  The contrast could not be clearer.  We have watched Kamala Harris attack President Trump’s Catholic judicial nominees who had to face her hostile and unfair questions when she was a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. She was especially bigoted to anyone associated with the Knights of Columbus. Harris also was complicit in the FBI’s fascist infiltration of Catholic parishes that say Latin Mass. Her smears of Justice Brett Kavanaugh can never be forgotten. Accusing Catholic students of high crimes was a cheap shot to score political points. President Trump’s leadership to keep American families strong is critical to the future of our nation.” – Matt and Mercedes Schlapp

In over 3 years over working at the White House and countless meetings in the Oval Office, I witnessed Donald Trump take the moral and ethical concerns of Catholics seriously.  When presented with opposing views, he invariably chose the path advocated by his pro-life advisors and those advocating for the dignity of human life.  As a Catholic I have no choice but to proudly vote Donald Trump this November.” – Joe Grogan, former Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy

“With their vile anti-Catholic bigotry, Harris-Walz present an existential threat to Catholics in America. Donald Trump and J.D. Vance will instead protect the rights of Catholics to raise our children, run our schools, work our jobs, operate our businesses, protect our borders, and live out our faith free from the radicals who threaten our American way of life.” – The Honorable Tim Huelskamp, Ph.D., Former US Representative for Kansas

  1. Yes to the relative merit of Trump over Harris, indeed the difference is great on most fronts and entirely, definitively compelling. Voting for Harris/Walz or any Democrat is voting for utter evil. Their’s is no longer the party of only subtle marxism they and it are now virtually full blown culturally decadent and anti-religion in the public square (well other than marxist oriented religions, apostate Catholic fellow travelers being no exception). There is no serious alternative for practical believers than to vote for Trump/Vance. But it is still a relative choice and problems with the superior not de minimis.

Accordingly the hagiography in such a Catholic oriented press release is overwrought and immature. Trump and Vance have incredibly taken to insult (and burden with taxes by the way) believers in the humanity, worth and dignity of newly conceived dependent unique human life. At the same time they are anti-science as regards life’s continuum. They have voiced support for processes inextricably complicit in the destruction of lives practically created to be discarded. And did I mention they would require you to pay for it.

They saw to the gutting of a pro-life platform and used bullying tactics to disallow not only dissent on a variety of individual cultural issues and emphasis but any honest reflection of the sentiment of the grassroots that sent the RNC delegates. The RNC platform is as undemocratic as the Democrats choice of candidate.

As for religious freedom Trump appointed a jurist Barret who as lead author in Murthy v Missouri along with fellow Catholic Kavanaugh gave us potentially the most far reaching tool for assault on religious freedom by government.

Any politician is a mixed bag of inconsistencies, some more problematic or salient than others. In the general election we are compelled to settle for the too often self-destructive seat of his pants wind bag rather than the evil wind undergirding Democrat policies.
