Republican Vivek Ramaswamy’s presidential campaign announced the first phase of his Iowa leadership team this morning. Former Senate President Jake Chapman has been announced as Ramaswamy’s Iowa co-chair, headlining the list.
“We are building an experienced, aggressive team in the Hawkeye state,” said Vivek 2024 CEO Ben Yoho. “Vivek is taking America First further than anyone has before, and we have the key players in Iowa that will set the tone of the election and deliver the Republican nomination for President of the United States of America.”
Chapman, who is currently CEO of Intralux Consulting, served as Iowa co-chair for Ted Cruz in 2016. During his 10 years in the Iowa Senate, Chapman served as chair of the Commerce Committee, chair of the Ways and Means Committee, and as President of the Iowa Senate.
Kimberly Gleason will serve as Ramaswamy’s Iowa State Advisor. Gleason was policy advisor to the Iowa Senate President previously and brings more than two decades of experience in policy, advocacy and grassroots organizing.
Gavin Humble is the Iowa State Director. Humble is an alumnus of Ron DeSantis and Glenn Youngkin campaigns. He most recently served as political director for U.S. Senate candidate David McCormick. Humble has nearly 10 years of experience running some of the most competitive statewide and national races in America.
Ramaswamy is a businessman, author and political outsider. He has written and spoken out against stakeholder capitalism, Big Tech censorship and Critical Race Theory.
