Walmart is selling the series “Heartstopper” in the Valentine’s Day kids’ book section. The series includes four volumes, all four of which are available in Walmart stores across Iowa. They’re on the shelf even in conservative towns such as Pella and Sioux Center.

The books are available among other books intended for children in the Valentine’s Day section of the book section.

The books include vulgar language and features a “romance” between two teen boys.

Here are some reviews of the books:

“Not for my 12-year-old girl. Oh my what a mistake! Sending back.”

“Somehow this book which is filled with vulgar language has been marketed to my 12-year-old. Makes me want to vomit. I thought Amazon was better than this, that our society was better than this. So disgusting.”

“This is sexual grooming influencing kids towards homosexuality who may or may not be confused sexually. Do we really want books to actually influence kids in this? Because that is exactly what this does. Complete with F bombs and other profanity. Total trash.”

“Why is this book a recommendation when I’m searching 9-12 age group??!! This filth is not what I want to be showing up in the children’s books. This is DEFINITELY not a children’s book and should be in adult fiction.”

“Clearly meant to confuse kids about their sexuality.”
