Employees of 3M received a message on Friday that the company would be required to comply with President Joe Biden’s “new legal requirements and mandate COVID-19 vaccination for all U.S. employees and contingent workers who do not have a valid medical or religious exemption.”

“As a company, 3M works with the U.S. federal government in a number of areas and there is great value in this collaboration,” the message said. “To continue to enter and renew contracts, we will be required to comply with the mandate. Weekly testing among unvaccinated individuals will not be an option.”

The company said it plans to roll out a vaccine verification process in the coming weeks.
