Representative Sandy Salmon is the kind of representative we need more of in the Iowa Legislature. She genuinely cares about the well-being of our children and has continually put forth legislation to actually protect them in this perverse climate that people are calling “America” under the false labels of diversity, equity and inclusion. Today the government is using our public school system to indoctrinate, confuse, isolate and destroy our students and prevent parents from being the first line of defense for THEIR children. The children belong to their parents. Who could have ever believed we would have a “President” that said our children BELONG to the school administration, teachers and staff when they are in the school?
Representative Salmon and Senator Carlin and Senator Guth have all introduced bills that PROTECT our children in schools and protect them from being sex trafficked. They have each spoken with me at length, and I am not even in their districts, explaining legislation that they have tried to get through. Legislation that was stopped by Committee Chairs, Speaker Grassley, and lobbyist money and stopped by Republicans.
I wish I could clone Salmon, Carlin and Guth over and over, and then maybe I would feel much safer in Iowa about sending our children or grandchildren to our public schools. The parents of Iowa need to get familiar with the legislative process and you will quickly see that oftentimes Speaker Pat Grassley and others in leadership block the bills from going forward. And these bills that are offered never make it out of committee because those in leadership have pressured our elected representatives to block bills that would genuinely PROTECT our children, but are not popular with the sources of money or political ambitions of those in leadership. This is not even a partisan issue. The Republicans have majorities in both houses. And they are blocking progress on these bills. The primary is June 7. If you do not like what is happening in our schools, look at how your Representatives and Senators are voting. See who is blocking the protection of your children. VOTE.
