Results from a national phone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports shows a majority of likely U.S. voters do not believe President Joe Biden should seek a second term — and it isn’t even close.

Only 26 percent of likely voters said Biden should seek re-election in 2024. Sixty percent said Biden should not run while 14 percent said they are not sure.

Just 43 percent of voters are confident Biden is physically and mentally up to the task of being President. Fifty-four percent said they are not confident Biden is up to the job. Forty percent said they are “not at all confident” Biden has the ability to do the job.

Eighty percent of Republicans said they do not believe Biden should run again, as did 61 percent of unaffiliated voters. Even 40 percent of Democrats agree.
