A recent national phone and online survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports finds 44 percent of likely voters will vote early this year. Fifty-three percent said they plan to wait until Election Day.

Fifty percent of Democrats and 45 percent of unaffiliated voters said they will vote early, as did 36 percent of Republicans.

Most voters expect the GOP to win majorities in both the United States House of Representatives and the Senate. Sixty-seven percent said it is likely the GOP will win control of the House and 58 percent said it is likely the GOP also controls the Senate.
