A new Rasmussen Reports national phone and online survey shows even Republican voters want Mitch McConnell removed as Senate Minority Leader.
Only 28 percent of likely voters have a favorable impression of McConnell. Sixty-four percent of voters view him unfavorably. Just five percent have a very favorable view of him compared to 35 percent who hold a very unfavorable view of him.
Twenty-one percent of likely voters believe Senate Republicans should keep him as their leader. Sixty-one percent think they should choose a new leader. Sixty-two percent of Republican voters want to get rid of McConnell as Senate GOP leader. That sentiment is shared by 63 percent of unaffiliated voters and 58 percent of Democrats.
Two-thirds of self-identified conservatives want Senate Republicans to pick a new leader.

The survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on November 20-21, 2022 by Rasmussen Reports and Paul Bedard’s “Washington Secrets.” The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
