Advancing Our Values has sent another mailer to Iowa voters highlighting President Donald J. Trump’s “fight” in support of LGBTQ+ rights.
The group sent a mailer last week and followed it up this week with this:
This mailer follows a previous mailer that highlighted Trump’s celebration of the Respect for Marriage Act with the Log Cabin Republicans at Mar-a-Lago.
The initial mailer made waves throughout the country — and even internationally. The Guardian reported Advancing Our Values appears to be a “non-profit” based in Des Moines. The return address listed on the mailer is 100 Court Ave. Suite 201.
Advancing Our Values was registered with the Secretary of State’s office a couple of weeks ago. Kyle Adema of Nebraska is listed as the group’s chairperson.
Former Trump official Richard Grenell reached out to both Charles Koch and Jenny Kim to ask if they were responsible for what Grenell called an “anti-gay attack” on the Log Cabin Republicans. Kim is listed as the group’s contact in the articles of incorporation. She used to work for Koch Industries, according to Grenell.
“But her phrasing is quite technical and suspect,” Grenell wrote.
Charles Koch responded to Grenell and said he assures him the mailer wasn’t something Koch supports.
