Kansas abortion facilities can conceal information about life-saving abortion pill reversal medication and rush women into having abortions under a new ruling from a Johnson County District Court. The judge yesterday declared that the state’s 24-hour waiting period and APR informed consent law passed over the objection of pro-abortion Governor Laura Kelly earlier this year violate “natural inalienable rights.”

SBA Pro-Life America’s Western Regional Director Adam Schwend commented:

“It’s alarming that the court has sided with the abortion industry to limit women’s right to know about abortion pill reversal. The attacks on APR in Kansas and throughout this country reveal that the Left is not pro-choice, they are pro-abortion. They view success as the number of abortions that are completed and totally disregard the thousands of babies who have been saved and thousands more who could be saved by reversing abortion pills, as well as mothers who want to save their babies but do not know it is possible.

“Voters in Ohio and every state that will consider a ballot measure in 2024 should take heed. The abortion lobby has a plan to remove every single regulation on their industry and every single safeguard for women just like they are doing in Kansas.”

“As a practicing OB-GYN with over 30 years of experience, it’s unconscionable to deny women the option of medical reversal of the abortion drug, mifepristone, with progesterone. Just as Narcan will reverse an opioid overdose to save lives, progesterone can block the effect of mifepristone, often giving an unborn child a chance to survive. The decision to reverse an abortion isn’t uncommon, especially considering some women are coerced into chemical abortions or change their mind in the process. Luckily, recent research demonstrates this intervention is not only effective in two-thirds of women, but it’s also safe for women. Refusing to allow this opportunity illustrates an ideological commitment to ending unborn life.”
