Reports surfaced on Friday that Republican Congressman Mike Rogers is working behind the scenes with Democrats to select a bipartisan Speaker of the House rather than support Republican Jim Jordan in his bid for the position.
Forbes reported that Rogers, chair of the Armed Services Committee, told reporters he wants Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to tell Republicans what concession they’ll have to make for Democrats to help the GOP elect a Speaker.
So, what kind of congressman has Rogers been?
Rogers has a 61 percent Liberty Score despite representing a deep Red district. He has spent two decades in D.C.
Here are some of the recent votes he was docked for:

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene called Rogers’ district “ruby Red.”
“His voters will not be happy if he makes a deal with Democrats to elect a Speaker in order to block Jim Jordan,” she said. “Stick with Republicans, Mike. This is how we roll.”
