The Ames Public Library is set to host a number of Pridefest events later this week. The Library is one of the sponsors for the city’s Pridefest event and will be hosting:

*Drag storytime
*Drag bingo for teens
*Pridefest Storytime with J Yang
*Pridefest artist talk with J Yang
*Chalk the walk
*Relaxation rooms
*More

The drag storytime event hosted at the library will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. According to the library’s website, all ages are welcome.

Drag bingo for teens will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. It will be hosted by a drag queen called Juanita Voltaire. Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to the “afterhours bingo.”

The library is also hosting a presentation at 11 a.m. due to the “anti-LGBTQ legislation” that has “many Iowans” considering whether to leave Iowa.
