Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz tweeted on Tuesday that the U.S. Border Patrol has caught 10 illegal immigrant sex offenders in just three days. That is in addition to gang members and a murderer.
“The dangers are real,” Ortiz said. “Great work by our agents.
In that three-day span, agents encountered 2,690 migrants. They hauled in 100 fentanyl pills and 71 pounds of methamphetamine.
Agents also recorded 91 rescues.
Since October, there have been more than two million migrant encounters. There were nearly 200,000 in July and that does not factor in the more than 500,000 illegal immigrants who have evaded Border Patrol this fiscal year.
